Meet your teacher:
"When I was unsure whether to accept my offer to study at Cambridge, Alex's confidence in my ability was one of the things that gave me the belief to go."
Jess (2017 cohort)
Since 2015, I have had the pleasure of working with thousands of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students:
As a classroom teacher
As the Head of English at a large London school
As a private tutor working with individual clients
As an examiner for both AQA and Edexcel
Regardless of each student’s starting point, I have the experience and the expertise to secure meaningful progress.
I have written and delivered engaging and enlightening programmes of study in literature, extensively covering essential texts such as Macbeth, The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Flies, and all the poetry anthologies of the AQA specification.
In English Language, I have tweaked and perfected an approach that completely demystifies the process, strengthens both reading and writing skills, and empowers each student to sit their final examinations with a sense of confidence and control.
The testimonials page will give you a sense of what to expect from my lessons.
